Investing in a Central Vacuum for Your Home

Keeping your household clean can be an uphill battle, especially if you have droves of young children romping around between the muddy backyard and carpeted hallways and bedrooms. Instead of hauling around a Dirt Devil, what about using a central vacuum to fight the never-ending battle against dirt and dust? Most homeowners are not aware that they can easily and affordably install a central system in their home to ease the process of tidying up. Even better, a central system can greatly increase the value of home if you ever end up selling it. Two-story houses are especially hard to keep clean because lugging a portable vacuum from one floor to another is cumbersome and wall outlets won’t always allow for you to reach the far end of rooms. A vacuum that runs through your houses means just that; you have easily accessible wall inlets you can attach a cleaning wand into in order to suck up every square foot of flooring.

For the kitchen, or other areas with tiled or wood floors, you can have automatic dustpans that suck up debris as soon as you sweep towards it. Think of it like a pool filter that sits at the base of cabinets. Simply opening the compartment creates an inward airflow by which anything swept near it gets sent into your central system. From there, it travels through a series of vacuum-powered tubes that send all the mess to a receptacle located out of the way in your garage or basement.
